Well that explains Ted coming in waking Gary up earlier this
morning, and why he ended going to work late again. Some days he just
couldn't believe how lucky he was. "I'd like you meet my husband, Ted."
"This is my husband, Ted" "I'm sorry, but that guy you're sizing up is
my husband, Ted" Gary daydreamed. Well, eventually he shook himself, and
told himself that he wanted to check for ideas for tomorrow, he had
already promised Bart & Will, that he was working on a plan. He thought
that he would check to see if something new showed up. So he logged on
to

http://www.gaykc.com/index2.html

The first thing he noticed was a pop up screen that read:

He now knew what they were going to do tomorrow. He had heard a lot
of talk on the net about 'Get Real' and almost all of it unanimously
good and he was wondering how it would compare with BT, which was his
and Ted's favorite movie. But they had been waiting all summer for it to
hit Kansas City, and it couldn't come at a better time. So, he called
the movie house to see if they needed to pick up tickets in advance. He
knew a friend who was in NYC who said the evening performances were all
sold out when it was first released there. They said, as long as he got
there a little early he should have no problem with seating. That was
good, because he wasn't sure if Todd, Will and Bart's friend, would be
joining them or not. He had gotten CJ's active participation in trying
to play matchmaker between Bill and Todd. Jim wasn't too keen on the
idea, but wouldn't interfere.
He had to start getting the place ready. Jim was supposed to be
stopping off at 11:00 to get the stereo system all set. They would be
re-arranging the place all day. Sandi was supposed to drop off the beer
and soda around 4:00 along with a ton of ice. The were going to use the
back porch for the beer. Then CJ and Chris were supposed to show up
between 4:30 and 5:00 with the decorations and the subs. Jean was coming
at 6:00 with the cake. Anita and Deborah were in charge of setting up
the snacks. Clyde said that he wasn't sure what time he'd make it so he
arranged for DW and Rudy to be in charge of making sure no one parked in
front of the house. Finally, Sandra, William and Doug were going to help
wherever they were needed. Ted would really miss Tory, but she was on
vacation and couldn't make it. Davey and Jim both had to work tonite and
wouldn't make it until after 10:00 PM. At the last minute, Rhian called
and said she would be coming, and offered to bring some snacks.
He had everything under control, at least at the moment, he had
invited about sixty-six people, including the landlord, whom they fondly
referred to as Uncle Dave,  to come and party. Ted said they should
throw a party for their friends, and tell them all about their private
and intimate ceremony. It was looking more and more like a good time.
