Watching QAF: The Review 1 & 2
Friday Aug 13th @ 9:05 PM - The King House - Steve & Mark's Flat.
TK turns around to glance at every one there, "Wow, I can't believe that was on regular TV!" Bart responded, "Fuckin A! The people on this list said it was. Some of them live in England." Will adds, "Can you imagine any network putting that on, especially when he licks Nathan's ass?" TK answers, "Yeah, I know what you mean. ... Nathan's supposed to be 15 right?" Bart comes back with, "Yeah, but I checked the dude out on the net, and he's 18 really." " He looks younger!"
Mark gets up, "Hey anybody want a coke or soda?" After getting everybody's order, he heads to the kitchen. Steve gets up and follows him so he can help. TK turns to Will and Bart, "You guys ever do stuff like that?" Will looks at Bart then back at TK, "What stuff?" "You know. ... like when Stuart licks Nathan's back and all." Bart quickly looks to Will, before he answers, "Yeah." "Really!?!" Bart smiling , "It was really wild! ... Did you?" TK looks around, shakes his head, "No. ..." he grins "At least not yet." The three of them start chuckling.
Steve and Mark come back loaded down with sodas and snacks. Steve asks, "What's so funny?" Will says, "Nothing much. We were just talking about the show." Bart, "Yeah, it was an eye opener so to speak." "It opened more than an eye.", TK adds, then continues, "So what did you all think?"
Bart, "I'll go first. ... Let's see one, Stuart's an asshole. Two, Nathan is hot. Three, I feel sorta sorry for Vince, Stuart like walks all over him. I think he's my favorite character. Four, the baby thing was different. I'm not sure if I'd do something like that." Will asks, "What do you mean?" "Well, being a sperm bank for someone. ... I don't know someday I might want a kid. But I wouldn't want it like Stuart, I'd want it to live with me." He looks over to Will. "But shit that's years away. ... Will what did you think?"
Will's not sure what Bart is asking. Not knowing whether he wants to talk about the baby or about the whole show, "As a whole, I liked it alot. I agree with Bart that Stuart's an asshole. Nathan, while hot, seemed a little fucked up. He's pretty fucking outrageous. Shit he's out cruisin the streets. He must have been scared shitless, then it's like Stuart just pulls him into his world then blows him away. Can you imagine if some 29 year old dude dropped you off at school in a jeep that said 'Queers' on it? ... Then he goes back lookin the next night. Vince seemed like he had his shit together, except he seemed to let Stuart run his life. He was pretty funny, when he's talkin about going in that straight bar, or his mom. ... I agree with Bart about the whole baby shit."
Before anybody says anything else, Mark gets up and announces he's "gotta take a whiz." And he heads for the bathroom. Will starts, "Steve, so this thing with you and Mark, You gonna have some kinda ceremony. It'd be a great excuse for a party." Steve looks toward the bathroom, "Nah, I don't think we could afford anything, and Mark's not really into that sort of thing. Once everything's signed and done, we'll just probably go out to dinner some place." Bart switches to looking at Will and can see that crazy grin he gets on his face when he gets an idea. Every time he's had that same grin, Bart ends up getting trapped into one of Will's fucked up schemes. Will notices Bart looking at him. Bart is shaking his head no, Will smiles even wider and nods his head yes.
Mark returns from the bathroom. TK, "My turn. Well so far it's unanimous about Stuart, the guy's an asshole. Vince is almost too nice. It looks to me that he's go this thing for Stuart. But he's the one that was worried about Nathan and tried to comfort him in the bar in that second episode. Sure he complained to his buddy, but he tried. Nathan seems pretty wild to me. ... Liked his friend Donna. As for the stuff about the baby, I think if I was asked, I'd have to really think about it. I like kids. I might, just not sure. ... Steve what about you."
"Well, 4 out of 5 for Stuart being an asshole. I agree with TK that Vince is almost too nice. But did you notice that he's in the closet at work, but it's pretty obvious that his mom knows, she comes to a gay bar to party. I think that Nathan's not as bad as some of you. Bart weren't you 15 the first time you and Will got it on." "Yeah, but it was less than a week til I was 16." "15 is still 15. Five'll get you ten, you were as horny then as you are now." Bart retorts, "How come I got this sex fiend rep? I'm pure and innocent, Will was the corrupter of my youth." Will and TK both say, "Bullshit!" Steve starts again, "Anyway, I knew I was gay earlier than that, but I just didn't have the balls to do what Nathan did. But I wanted to." There's a brief pause.
Will looks around and turns to Mark, "So Mark you're last, What did you think?" Mark looks from one to another of the guys, "Well, The vote on Stuart is staying at 4 out of 5. I don't think he was an asshole, I think being an asshole was just a front. He wanted to hide behind it. But would an asshole agree to be a father. He's 29 and his parents still think he's straight. While he does walk all over Vince, I got the feeling that he really ... well loved him, maybe not sexually, but he loved him. Stuart seemed real caring a couple times towards Nathan too. 'Nuf said about Stuart. Vince is too good to be true. Nathan, I agree with Steve. The baby shit, I'm gonna have to think about that. Never realized it was an real option."
@ 11:35 PM - The King House - Steve & Mark's Bedroom..
Steve and Mark are laying there spoon fashion. They had just finished making love to each other. Mark who has his back to Steve's chest, squeezes Steve's arms that are wrapped around him. "Steve, I heard you talking to the guys before. I know we never talked about it, but if you want to have some sort of private ceremony ... I .... I wouldn't mind. Just as long it wasn't in some church, you know how I feel about that." "It's not important. Let's just forget it." "Well, remember if you change your mind, ..."
