Watching QAF: 3-5 Episodes
Monday Aug 23th @ 9:30 PM - Steve & Mark's Flat.
"About time!", Will says, "Vince is finally gonna get himself a 'shag'!" The credits for Queer As Folk Episode 5 are rolling up the screen, when Steve stops the VCR, and then starts rewinding the tape. Mark stands up and asks if anyone needs anything to drink. Bart and TK, both, ask for a diet pepsi and Will asks for some iced tea. Mark and Steve head to the kitchen. Will announces, "I gotta take a piss so bad my back teeth are floating." He heads for the can.
Bart looks at TK, "Todd, if you don't wanta talk about it you don't haveta. But what did happen Friday night?" TK looks at Bart, hesitates and then says, "Can we talk about it later, I'd rather wait till after ..." Will comes in the room, "Wait for what?" "I'll tell you later, okay? It's not that big a deal." "OK." After everyone is back, TK says, "I think I'll go first this time. Nathan seems horny as ever. He pines away for Stuart but gives that one guy a hand job. I know Vince talks like Nathan is a stalker, but he is following Stuart around himself. Then the bit with Phil. I don't know what the show is trying to say or what. Vince and Stuart are doing lines of coke, I guess, off the back of a toilet, and go out and party. Phil does a line of something, I think they said later it was heroin, and dies on the fucking kitchen floor. ... Then the funeral was different. Then later at the house, Stuart is trying to pick up some dude, this Cameron guy does the same to Vince, Vince gets fucked over by Phil's ma, it's like she's blaming all gays for her son's death. I had a small problem when Nathan ran away from home, when his mom confronted him about Stuart. But it was really different in my case. Oh and I vote with Will, I'm glad Vince is finally getting shagged, but for some reason I don't trust Cameron."
Bart quickly follows TK, "The thing about drugs that TK was talkin about makes me confused. From the show so far, they all drink all of the time, Stuart takes any and every thing, Even Vince snorts coke. Shit even in BT Jamie smokes dope with Tony. You get the feeling every gay man in England does drugs. That can't be the case but it sure seems that way. ... I don't think Stuart's as big a complete and total asshole. Not that he still doesn't qualify, but not so bad. Nathan is getting crazier. His mom definitely seems to be okay with his being gay, but Nathan seems a little paranoid. He's the one with Stuart scribbled all over the place, and his ma found the dirty magazines in the last episodes. Maybe he really is worried about his dad. His ma said that his dad wouldn't talk about it all. My favorite character is Vince. He keeps getting shit on all the time, 'Brazilian butt bugs' or Doctor Who fanatics. After him I like his mom the best. She's alright."
Will stands up and heads to the can, "Gotta take a piss again." TK turns to Steve and Mark, "So did you guys, do anything special to celebrate your ... I suppose, anniversary. Steve says, "Yeah, Some friends of ours, Grams, Will and Bart, took us out to Rhian's place in the Gap. We had a really nice time. You know TK, your grandmother has away of making us all feel like we are family." "Yeah, she's the greatest." Steve replies, "So how's Bill? He's coming down this weekend isn't he?" TK's face noticeably cheered up at the thought, "Bill was the greatest. Yeah, he's coming up this weekend. Really looking forward to this weekend. It'll be like just the two of us having the house to ourselves. What with Shelly going out of town with Zack this weekend and Grams staying out with Will's mom, this weekend is really looking up. He'll be getting here late Friday afternoon. Did you guys want to get together and do something Saturday or Sunday?" Mark answers, "Sounds good, let us know later."
Seeing that Will has returned, Steve starts this time, "My turn, I hated the way Phil died. ... It really sucked. ... I liked him. I couldn't believe that Stuart and Nathan got it on in Vince's old room. And then Nathan walks down and asks for a towel with that 'I just sucked off Stuart' grin on his face. I think that was what was pissing Vince off so much. Stuart screwing around with Nathan the day of the funeral. I don't think he was as mad at Nathan as he was with Stuart. Cuz, the next episode, when he and Stuart meet again he says something about Nathan being there a fortnight already. I liked Cameron and Dazz, two of the new guys. Cameron seemed to have a thing for Vince, and he wasn't going to let Stuart push him around. I loved the line at the funeral when he said to Vince that he thought he had to be Stuart, cuz he was the better looking one. Dazz looked hot, and I liked it when he joked with Nathan. Not sure about Andy, he was pretty funny but he was such a queen." Squeezing Mark thigh, "I like my men less flaming." Mark blushes at the comment.
"Okay, everybody, a couple things stuck in mind," Will said, "Sex for one." Bart says, "Big surprise there." "No I mean, when Stuart picks up those two, count them two, guys at the bar both Vince and Nathan are like looking at him in awe. Then he fucking video tapes himself and them fucking. That wasn't the first time they talked about him doing it with more than two people. I don't know if I could do that. ... I suppose it's cuz I want Bart to myself." Will has his turn to blush. "Anyway, I wouldn't want everybody to think that just cuz you're gay you get in on with anybody with a cock and balls. All three of 'em, Vince, Stuart, and Nathan could be standing there naked with hard ons, and I'd still pick Bart." Bart takes his turn turning red. "The other is Nathan. Sometimes I just wanna kick him in the ass and tell him to get over Stuart. But then, I wonder what I would do if I was Nathan and Bart was Stuart. If Nathan feels the way ..." Will realizing that he is is getting a bit to personal for a public discussion of how he feels about Bart. "Well, let's put it this way. I can understand."
In the lull in the conversation, Mark clears his throat and begins, "I'll get back to the stuff about drugs later. First, you assholes never mentioned the fact that Stuart did some really nice things. No one seems to notice it when Stuart's acting nice. First, he tells Vince and the guys not to pick on Nathan cuz he was all right. Then when he stole the keys to Phil's place, so they could clean out the porno was great. Personally I could care less if my dad would find my stuff ... " Bart says, "You got porno? Any movies?" Mark starts laughing, "Bart, you are a sex maniac. ... But as I was saying, I don't give a shit if my dad found my stuff, but Will, Bart, TK, you all probably got something you would hate to have your ma's find. ... Anyways that was really thoughtful of Stuart. ... As to drugs, I don't think the show exaggerates that much. Remember in BT Trevor and Ste both sold ecstasy, and there seemed to be alot of takers. ... And yeah, I've smoked some grass myself. Most of the guys at work do it all the time, and I've done it a couple of times. Practically coughed my lungs out the first time. I haven't done it in months but I would be lying if told I never did it, or that it wasn't fun."
They sit around talking a little while, then they decide to call it a night, TK's got an early morning cross country practice, and Steve and Mark do have to get to work in the morning. So Bart and Will head for Will's mom's car. TK walks them to it. "Will and Bart, If you can stop by tomorrow and we will talk about last Friday night." Bart says, "Okay. See ya." "See ya." Will drives away. Will asks, "What's the deal about Friday night? How come you didn't say anything before?" "Well, Bill sent me an e-mail about TK and their weekend. He didn't say not to tell anyone, but it sounded sorta private. Ya see TK got pretty shook up on Friday night, two assholes tried to pick a fight with him, calling him faggot, guess they saw TK give Bill a kiss on the cheek." "And you didn't tell me?" "I just wasn't sure I was supposed to tell anyone. ... The thing turned out okay. It seems that TK has some sort of karate or jujitsu training. The pigfuckers were grabbing their guts and nuts laying on the floor when TK was done with them."
"TK got all worried about Bill. After a couple of hours he seemed to get better. They went out on a 'date' Saturday night. But Bill said all night, as long as they were in public, TK acted as if they were just friends. Bill took him to see 'American Pie' and even though nobody was sitting near them, when the lights went out and Bill tried to hold his hand, TK pulled his hand away." Will glances at Bart, "You wanna stop by that clearing on the old work road?" Bart reaches over and gives Will's groin a squeeze, "Does that answer your question? ... Anyway, when Bill and TK got back to Bill's place. TK was all over him. Bill said TK acted as if it was their last night together, ever. He said they did stuff they only talked about before. They went at it for six fucking hours, or was that fucking for six hours. Either way, Bill fell asleep about dawn, and only woke up once, when he felt something wet splash on his the back of his neck. When he turned around, he saw Todd crying, Bill just held him til he stopped and a fell asleep."
