Gary,

Ted here. I always seem to be using someone elses computer.  First
yours now Will's. Just in case you forgot
"I Love You!"
Knowing that your gonig to be here soon just makes it harder (no not
that) to deal with you're being  gone. You know I wish it wasn't
NECESSARY that we have this forced separation. It's been over a
week since I saw you last. That's the longest I've gone with out seeing
you from the first time we talked at the diner. We came close but it's
never been over 5 days before.

Gary had waited the last three mornings for Ted to show up at the commons, or the library. Gary's been spending the time going over what a stupid fucking idiot he's been. He couldn't believe he stood there and watched Ted literally walk out if his life. For weeks, he had noticed him around the dorm, the cafeteria, the library, and the school. Then just as things were about to start, Ted kissed him, and Gary panicked. By the time he started moving, Ted was already out of sight.

He must have gone off, cause when Gary went to his room. No one would answer the door. The thing is no one answered the phone or came to the door since, at least Friday afternoon. Not anyone, not Ted and not Ted's roommate. Here it was Sunday night when he walked down the hallways to try again. When he knocked this time, he heard a muffled voice, "Hold your horses. I'm coming."
Anxiously waiting for the door to open, Gary saw that it was Terry Ted's roommate. Terry said, "Yeah. Watcha want?" "Is Ted here?" "Who are you? I know I seen ya before, but I can't place ya." "My name's Gary Snow. And I live in the west wing room 304 W. It's just that Ted's a friend of mine and I wanted to talk to him about something."

"Were you gone this weekend, Gary, is it?" "No, I was around." "Well, I've been gone since Thursday, and when I got back, there's this note saying that Ted got a opportunity to get a single room in Leggett Hall, so he took it. He packed all his shit and moved out Friday." Gary glanced around finally noticing the stripped bed, and the empty walls. "It's kinda sudden isn't? I mean him moving." Terry responds, "Nah, not really, he told me Monday or Tuesday he had put in for it." "Oh." Terry continued, "Between you and me, I think 'mister' books and studying is shacking with some hot babe. ... Well, anyways, when you see him, tell him to call me with his new address and phone number. Somebody's been callin for him all weekend. At least that's what the caller ID said, seems we got 37 calls from 'Unknown Caller.'"

Gary, as he turns from the door, says, "Sure, Terry, I'll let him know." Maybe it's for the best. They wouldn't be running into each other in the commons or in the showers. ... Ted would be better off this way. Gary went back to his room. He got ready for bed and then laid there for hours watching the moon's shadows move across the ceiling. It was 10:30 in the morning, when he noticed that the phone was ringing, and that he missed 2 classes already. 'Shit!' Picking up the receiver, "Yeah!" "Is this Gary?" "Yeah, make it quick, I got to get dressed, I have a class in 12 minutes, and I don't want to miss another one." "Sorry, this is Ted, I heard from my old roommate that you stopped by." "Ted. can we get together and talk?" "Gary, I really don't see why. Let's just leave it go." "Come on, How about meeting me at the diner tonite?" "Can't already got something planned."
"Well, how about tomorrow?" Ted realizes Gary's going to keep this up until he agrees to one of his ideas., "Sure, Gary, tomorrow, usual table, say round 10, OK?" "Yeah, that will be great." "Good, see you then. Bye" "Bye."

Thirty-five and one half hours later,  Gary is sitting in the booth next to  'their' booth at the diner, when the waitress comes up to him, and says, "Are you Gary?", He answers slowly, "Yeah." "Well, we just got a call with a message for you, seems your friend can't make it tonite." "Shit."  "Well, you gonna order something?" "Nah, just the coffee will be all." From the phone booth across the street, Ted leaves hurriedly as he sees Gary getting up to pay the bill. When he arrived and  looked at Gary, he decided he didn't want to go through all this shit."

Gary is paying his tab, for the coffee, when the cashier, says to him, "Sorry about your buddy." "What ya gonna do?" "Well, you can probably catch up with him later." "Huh? What do you mean?" "It's just that he musta seen you today. Cause he described what you were wearing, when I asked how would I know who the message was for." Gary dropped two dollars on the counter and said to keep the   change. As fast as he could, he got outside, and looked around  in vain for Ted.  The only thing he did notice was the phone booth across the street.

Not much in news. Will & Bart (mostly Will) are doing a serious job with
S&M's party. Will went so far as to see about renting a big tent top.
He's affraid that'll rain unless he plans for it. So he's been out pricing
shit.

About Will's drivers license, Will's made me take under-penalty-of-death
oaths, that I won't tell anyone he's going for his license Friday. I had to
promise my testicles (oh, and yours btw) that I/We won't say anything to
Bart. I've never seen Will keep a secret from Bart before. I sure hope
he gets it. He'll be able to use my mom's car do run errands, and of
course go get Bart.

Not much else.

3 days and counting.

Love ya alot,
Ted
